The division and struggles between Mizrahi Jews and Ashkenazi Jews have been evident
in Israel since the early 20th century to this day. The documentary Underdogs: A War Movie
centers in these tensions and brings a thriller of class and ethnic struggles based in sports.
Discrimination and inequality were common in Israel as Western Jews (Ashkenazi) looked down
