class experienced the strong effects from Hurricane Irma during 2017 and
some, possibly from Hurricane Michael in 2018. Certainly, we dodged a
huge bullet when Hurricane Dorian did not make landfall in Florida in
2019 and, even though the 2021 season was record breaking, Florida fared
well, although Louisiana sustained significant damage from Hurricane
Ida. A Florida House Select Committee looked at the Hurricane Irma
disaster and published recommendations on how Florida can better prepare
