Description
You can submit a short paper describing a specific application of a physical science concept. For an example of such an application, see the Highlight Box on photochromic sunglasses in the text on page 344 or similar Highlight Boxes throughout the text. The concept that you use can come from any of the topics in the textbook; it does not have to be from one of the chapters that we covered. Basically, you want to take something useful in everyday life and link it to the fundamental science behind it.
There is no specific format requirement for the paper (such as MLA, APA, etc.) but the paper must be word-processed and must include appropriate citations for all sources used. An appropriate citation is one that would enable one of your classmates to find the source that you used. Please submit the paper electronically, preferably as an e-mail attachment (in Microsoft Word or any other common document format). Please make the subject line of the email “T/Th Physical Science Extra Credit Paper”. I apologize for the very short time frame for the extra credit.
