Description
NSTRUCTIONS:
This final project will be focused on chapter 15 & 16 and be similar to the last 2 assignments. I do not make the final project all inclusive since this class is so accelerated. You have written quite a bit for me in the 1st two assignments, so I am aiming at capturing the visual component of these concepts in the final two chapters. Make sure to review the included grading rubric to achieve the best score. You are to complete ONE of the two options listed below.
1) Developmental Presentation (Ch. 15):
In looking at the various life stages, capture the essence of each through a photograph. In other words…what do you think leisure looks like through the eyes of a person within this age demographic.
Early Childhood (ages 3 – 8):
Tweens (Ages 10 – 14):
Teenagers (Ages 15 – 18):
The College Years (Ages 18 – 25):
Early Adulthood (Ages 25 – 35):
Middle Adulthood (Ages 36 – 45):
Late Adulthood (Ages 46 – 65):
Elderly Adulthood (Ages 66 – 75):
Seniors (Ages 76 and older):
This should be formatted in a power point (10 slides minimum/maximum); title slide plus each age bracket. Each slide should have a title, some text that ties into the text book context of that age demographic, a photograph that depicts leisure, and must be well put together, balanced, & visually engaging.
OR
2) Development & Well-Being Visual Presentation (Chapter 16):
For each area of development (social, physical, cognitive, psycho-emotional, spiritual, aesthetics, environmental, and civic engagement + bucket list), create a slide that adequately represents an activity that fulfills those developmental needs. As for bucket list (page 342), conclude with a slide that is your most valued bucket list item/activity/event!
This should be formatted in a power point (10 slides minimum/maximum); title slide plus each area of development plus your bucket list item. Each slide should have a title, some text that ties into the text book context of that age demographic, a photograph that depicts an activity that represents the developmental area, and must be well put together, balanced, & visually engaging.
Grading Rubric:
30%(13.5 points) – formatting & follow directions (did the student following the formatting & guidelines of the assignment, meeting both minimums and maximums of length, load up, submission, etc.?)
40% (18 points) – Content (does the picture adequately represent the construct?)
30%(13.5 points) – Visual Presentation (Are the slides balanced and visually attractive? Did the student use text that related to the subject/readings? Are the slides/presentation thrown together last minute haphazardly for submission or well thought out with concerted effort & plan/design?)
